This page sums up Dimraeth: Dicas Iniciais e Cruciais para iniciar bem o jogo / Inicial Great Tips by Heaven. Each line links to the moment in the video it comes from.

What the video covers

  • At character creation you pick one of three races (Human, Minotaur, Elf) and one of three classes (Magician, Brawler, Shadow). There is no gender lock. Read each pair's description, since some play at range and some up close. The game files list the same three playable races and three classes. 0:22
  • The video says the game takes your answers in NPC conversations into account. 1:19
  • Don't worry about your first character. You can make more, and they can all play in the same world with the same items, so a second character does not start over. 1:28
  • Carry weight runs out fast early on. Look for the statues that raise it. In the game files these are the 6 Icons of Encumbrance, each worth +15, on top of a base of 300. 1:47
  • There is a chest in the middle of the guild hall from the start. Leave heavy things there, like stone and wood; the video says each one weighs 5, and the game files agree for Stone and Wildwood Pine. 2:07
  • Keep 2 Pinewood Planks. With them you build the Workbench in the Sanctum, your base, and it turns wood and stone into the nails and planks you need. In the game files this is the first step of Craftsman's Beginnings, which asks for exactly 2. 2:38
  • After the Workbench, do the first quests of the guild hall NPCs. They unlock chests you can build, and once those are up, weight stops being a problem. 2:58
  • Early on, the video would skip the contract board. It pays little XP, it is slow, and you find its items anyway while exploring. In the endgame, though, the video says the board gets very good. 3:17
  • Once you know the game, open the skill tree and pick a direction. Every node shows a preview of its effect, so you can plan a build. 3:55
  • A wrong pick is not a disaster, because an NPC resets the tree whenever you want. In the game files a reset costs 1 gold per point and gets pricier the more points you have paid to reset over time (up to 1.75 gold per point), and each new level gives one free reset. 4:24
  • Attributes are trained with XP at the trainer NPC. Later in the game another NPC can reset those too. The item for that in the game files is the Elixir of Rebirth. 4:33
  • Grimoires you find let you craft extra spells at certain NPCs, each one with its own list. Use the attribute requirements of the spells you want as a guide for where to put attribute points. 5:02
  • Gear comes in sets. Some sets need up to 6 pieces for the full bonus; with 12 gear slots that fits two sets. Other sets are complete with fewer pieces, some with only 2. In the game files, 19 sets need 6 pieces for their last bonus and 2 need 7, and every set gives its first bonus at 2 or 3 pieces. 5:52
  • Build a chest for each set and use Deposit Matching to sort pieces of the same kind. That way you can keep gear for other builds instead of breaking it down or selling it and regretting it later. 6:30
  • Unlock the pet pen NPC. Pets you leave in the pen gain XP on their own while you explore with another one, and each pet has its own ability. 6:58

Not shown in the video

The video does not show these, so this guide leaves them out.

  • The locations of the carry-weight statues.
  • The NPC who resets attributes. The video points to another of its own videos for that.
