This page sums up 10 Things You MUST Know Before Starting Dimraeth by KaosCatGaming. Each line links to the moment in the video it comes from.
What the video covers
- The video gives ten early game tips as on-screen text boxes, with no speech. The clips come from more than one game build: 0.107.7745 at the start and 0.107.7694 later on. 0:03
- Griefers can join an open multiplayer world, steal, and break your chests and production buildings. The video advises a password when you play with friends, and a backup save plus a private chest if you play with strangers. 0:08
- To get pets, move the main story on to
The Corrupted Beast and unlock Myrll, who then waits at the Pool of Remembrance. Once Myrll joins your sanctum, the map shows every pet location. Each pet pickup does need Myrll to have joined your base, and the pets are then sold in Myrll's shop. 0:20 - A pet has its own storage. From it you can send items to chests you own, or to Befr to sell them, which helps when you are at your weight limit or out of slots. The video says the pet takes about 30 to 60 seconds to come back. The wiki has not checked that time in the game files. 1:13
- The Lost Boy of
A First Adventure is found in Rivercaller's Grove. 1:49 - Before you have a
Workbench, you can get planks from chests, tree stumps and corpses. The workbench costs 2
Pinewood Planks, as in the game files. 2:05 - The video marks a
Brush Flax spot with about 5 plants and more nearby, and says Brush Flax makes gloves, pickaxes and woodcutting axes. The game files use it in
Flax Gloves and the Stone and Copper Woodcutting Axes, but the Stone and Copper Pickaxes need none. 2:13 - It also marks a
Wildwood Pine and
Tenderberry spot. The video says 5 to 11 logs spawn there at random, with more during an event, and that a lower path has more logs and 2 chests. 2:35 - Three mini world bosses come from random world events. Corruption Leaking brings
Corrupted Monstrous Droop, the Goblin Firework event brings
Gotburg The Burned, and Heavy Rain brings Monstrous Droop. All three pairs match the game files. 3:11 - Build production buildings early so you have resources later. The video says spare Stone sells for 1 gold each, and the game files give
Stone a sell price of 1. 5:03 - Once you have the Alchemy Table, each craft of a potion's next level adds one use past the default of 2. In the game files
Lesser Concentration Potion has 2 charges, and each level up to +5 adds one, for 7 in total. 5:17 - To farm bosses, open the Bounties tab of the Guild Hall board, where you can fight bosses you have already beaten. The video says a higher bounty level gives a better chance of Mythical gear. It picks the Hoard King's Bounty for goblins, and The Corrupted Beast Returns for treants, wolves and druids. 5:41
- The video's method is to reach the last group of monsters and let them wipe you so they respawn. Then you fight, die, respawn and go again until the gear you want drops. For a Treant, sneak right first, then clear the monsters on the left. The same trick works in the Goblin Caves. 6:00

Not shown in the video
The video does not show these, so this guide leaves them out.
- The exact spots as map coordinates. The video circles them on the in-game map only.
- The drop chances for Mythical gear at each bounty level.
- Proof that the pet return time or the 5 to 11 log count are fixed rules. Both come from the video's own play.
