This page sums up Dimraeth EA - How I farmed my MYTHICAL LOOT by Sleepy Cat. Each line links to the moment in the video it comes from.

What the video covers

  • Sleepy Cat explains how they collected a seven piece Gorehorn set, almost all of it Mythical (purple). 0:01
  • Take a boss bounty from the board in the guild hall. The whole area around that boss then spawns at the bounty's level, and higher levels drop more loot of better rarity. 0:36
  • The bounty levels show as green, blue and purple, and you have to clear level 1, then 2, then 3 in order. 6:41
  • To find where a set drops, open the codex and go to Equipment Sets. Each set lists the monsters that drop it. 1:19
  • Chillhowl and Brutalclaw only come from the Wildwood Wolf Alpha, so you wait for the bounty to reset between tries. The game files agree on the source. 1:33
  • Gorehorn drops from Wildwood Wolf and Wildwood Aetherfang Wolf. The purple wolves in the corrupted forest do not drop it. The game files list the same two wolves. 1:53
  • The Aetherfang wolves, the small ones that shoot magic from their tails, also drop Lionspear. The video recommends that set for Thrust damage builds, and the game files confirm the drop. 3:48
  • Here is the trick. Clear the Aetherfang group, then die on purpose and hold Space to revive at the nearest waypoint. The group respawns and you can farm it again. Items left on the ground stay there. 4:21
  • Do not clear everything and move on. That moves your checkpoint forward, and the group no longer respawns. 5:36
  • Empowered (augmented) monsters are the jackpot. The video says they have a much higher chance to drop purple gear. The wiki has not checked that chance. 3:33
  • The same trick works in the Goblin Caves, where big packs drop a lot of loot and salvage for +11 upgrades. The game files list Pyreweaver among the drops of goblin rippers and flask rats. 7:25
  • Dryads and treants in the corrupted area drop Convergence, which the game files confirm. 6:06
  • With friends, set drops to personal so each player gets their own loot, then trade pieces to each other. 5:22
  • The video expects the death reset to be patched, since it does not look intended. 2:52

Not shown in the video

The video does not show these, so this guide leaves them out.

  • How much the bounty level raises the drop rarity. The game files list only Common and Uncommon for the wolves' own drops, and the wiki has not traced how the bounty level changes that.
  • Proof that the death reset still works in later builds.
