What the video covers
- A Human Magician (Elemental Ranger) built around
Combusting Fireball. You put Burning on a group of enemies, then cash it in with one charged
Fireball. The creator calls it an early to mid-game setup. 0:02 - Thirteen points take Fireball down its column to Combusting Fireball. On the way the build takes
Explosive Impact, and at the fork of three modifiers it picks
Charged Fireball. 0:11 - Eight points go down the Burning branch to
Ashen Escalation, which turns consumed Burning into more Burning damage. Four more reach
Pyre Echo, which adds Magic Damage when you apply Burning. 0:40 - The tree on screen shows 26 points spent, one more than the voice-over counts. It also lights
Fireball Cooldown Reduction III, which the voice-over never mentions. 0:13 - The combo starts with
Fireburst. Start charging
Flaming Strike right away so the full-charge hit lands with the delayed blast, spread the stacks with
Conflagration, and finish with a charged Fireball on the enemy with the most Burning. 2:24 - Against a single enemy Conflagration has nothing to spread to. There the creator sticks to Fireburst, Flaming Strike, Fireball and
Weapon Swap. 3:20

Rotation
Fireburst Cast it first. The blast goes off around you after a short delay, and the label in the video says it applies 2 Burning on hit. 2:24
Flaming Strike Start charging right after Fireburst and time the full-charge hit with the blast. The label in the video gives 2 to 5 Burning on hit. 2:30
Conflagration It spreads the main target's stacks to the enemies around it. In the video that puts 7 Burning on each of them. 2:33
Fireball Charge it and aim at the enemy with the most Burning before the stacks start to decay. Combusting Fireball consumes up to 10 stacks. 2:43
Notes from the video
- The creator's summary on screen lists +30% Fire Damage, +3% Magic Damage, +120% Burning Damage, +24% Fireball damage and +50% from a full charge. Those numbers match the lit nodes in the game files. 1:16
- The same summary lists +2 max Burning and -20% Fireball cooldown. The lit nodes give +5 max Burning and three Cooldown Reduction nodes at 10% each, so the summary and the tree disagree here. 1:16
- The Fireball tooltip shows a cost of 10 Concentration and a 2-second cooldown. In the game files Fireball has a 3-second cooldown before the Cooldown Reduction nodes. 0:21
- The gear is the full 6-piece
Convergence set. The tooltip lights up the rune, undercoat, belt, charm and both rings. The creator would rather use
Pyreweaver but has not collected all of it yet. 1:36 - In the dummy test, consuming 10 stacks gave Ashen Escalation +200% Burning Damage. The creator says Combusting Fireball stops at 10 stacks unless you put more points into the tree. The video does not buy those points. 2:52
- The HUD shows game version 0.107.7725. 3:40
Changed since this video
Fireburst changed in game build 25546572, after the build the video shows.
Combusting Fireball changed in game build 25483224, after the build the video shows.
Ashen Escalation changed in game build 25483224, 25546572, after the build the video shows.
Combusting Fireball is weaker since game build 0.107.7745. It now gives 5% more Fire Damage per Burning stack consumed instead of 12%, so the summary's +0-120% for it becomes +0-50%.
Ashen Escalation changed in game build 0.107.7745. It gives 10% Burning Damage per stack consumed, up to 100%, where it used to give 20% per stack with no cap. The +200% in the dummy test becomes +100%, and so does the top of the summary's +0-300%.
Not shown in the video
The video does not show these, so this guide leaves them out.
- The character level and attributes.
- The main stat, rarity, stars and forge level of each piece. Only the Convergence set tooltip is shown (every 0.5 s of the video was read with text recognition; no item tooltip marked Equipped appears), so the planner link leaves the gear out.
- The pieces in the amulet, badge and bracer slots. The Convergence tooltip shows those slots unlit, and no other set tooltip covers them.
