This page sums up BASHER Is Insane... And So Is My Shadow Minotaur - Dimraeth by The Mages Corner. Each line links to the moment in the video it comes from.

What the video covers

  • A Minotaur Shadow (Xwin Dreadhorn) built on Rage, Bleeding and Shadow Clones, with a Basher summon from the Goblin Friend set. 0:22
  • Four Goblin Friend pieces summon a Basher that fights with you. The Mages Corner says the pieces drop from the Goblin King and that Basher often interrupts bosses mid-attack. 0:31
  • On Hard, Basher can die fast. It comes back only after the fight, so they keep it on one target while they handle the rest. 1:19
  • On the dummy the combo does about 1,400 damage per second without Basher. They think close to 2,000 is possible with one more Gorehorn piece. 1:55
  • In the tree they pick up Rage for Cornu Charge and a teleport behind the enemy for Vanishing Strike. Two keystones turn Rage and stealth into Shadow Clone attacks. 2:22

Gear

The stat values follow the game's forge rule for each piece's stars and forge level. The planner uses the same rule.

  • Rune · Goblin Friend · Common · 3 stars · +11 (forge level 12) 4:13
    Main stat: 33.1% Bleeding Damage
Extra stats: 11.8 Thrust Armor, 9.3 Thrust Piercing, 10.6 Blunt Armor, 10% Minion Damage
  • Under-coat · Gorehorn · Uncommon · 1 star · +11 (forge level 12) 4:16
    Main stat: 13.3 HP
Extra stats: 7.4 Strike Armor, 9.4 Stamina, 6.7 Thrust Armor, 4.2 Movement Speed, 6 Resistance
  • Amulet 1 · Stonehoove · Mythical · 2 stars · +11 (forge level 12) 4:10
    Main stat: 11% Attack Damage
Extra stats: 9.9 Strike Armor, 9.9 Decay Resistance, 6.6% Physical Damage, 4.7 Spell Haste, 8.9 Resistance, 4.2% Critical Rate

Rotation

  1. Cornu Charge Charge in. Enraging Charge gives 5 Rage on hit. 1:44
  2. Vanishing Strike Vanish and leave a Shadow Clone, then recast to teleport behind the enemy and strike. 1:49
  3. Shadow Daggers Throw daggers. Nearby Shadow Clones throw with you. 1:49
  4. Shadow Convergence Dash in and eat the Bleeding for bonus damage. Phasing Convergence puts you back in stealth. 1:49
  5. Savage Claw The build's Bleeding source. The Mages Corner swapped out Tendon Slice for it because it hits harder. 4:04

Notes from the video

  • With Gorewraith Ambush, your next Final Attack after you leave stealth spends your Rage for more damage if you have at least 5, and your Shadow Clones strike too. That is why the build wants Rage from the charge. 3:06
  • Shadow Quake makes a Shadow Clone each time you cast a Shadow Arts or Minotaur Magic ability, and the clones deal Blunt Damage in a shockwave. 2:52
  • The build has two ways back into stealth: Vanishing Strike and Shadow Convergence with Phasing Convergence. 3:21
  • The Mages Corner puts mostly Strength and some Agility into attributes. The video says a Minotaur Shadow gets attack speed from Strength. The game files agree, since the Xwin Dreadhorn passive gives 0.25% Attack Speed per Strength point. 3:54
  • They had close to seven Gorehorn pieces but gave up the five-piece bonus to wear the Basher set. 4:16
  • The character screen shows level 25 with 58 points spent, so 10 of them come from boss kills. Attributes: Strength 40, Agility 19, Energy 12, Intelligence 6, Physique 6, Adventure 6, Memory 5 and Charisma 5. 3:53
  • The spell bar on the character screen: Cornu Charge on Q, Savage Claw on E, Shadow Daggers on R, Vanishing Strike on F and Shadow Convergence on T. 3:53
  • The pet is Smores, a level 8 War Cat. 4:13
  • All 12 gear slots are filled. The set rows show where each set is worn: Goblin Friend 4 of 4 on the rune, belt, second ring and first badge; Gorehorn 3 of 7 on the undercoat, first ring and second badge; Stonehoove 1 of 6 on an amulet. That turns on the Goblin Friend 4-piece bonus (the Basher) and the Gorehorn 3-piece bonus. 4:16
  • For the pieces whose tooltips stay closed, the tile colours on the character screen still show the rarity: a Mythical belt, a Rare charm, an Uncommon second ring, a Common first ring, a Rare second amulet, two Uncommon badges, a Mythical first bracer and an Uncommon second bracer. 3:53
  • Three tooltips are opened: a Common 3-star Goblin Friend rune at +11 (33.1% Bleeding Damage), an Uncommon Gorehorn undercoat at +11 (15.3 HP) and a Mythical 2-star Stonehoove amulet at +11 (Attack Damage 11). +11 is the top forge level, which the planner counts as level 12. 4:13

Changed since this video

  • Shadow Shockwave changed in game build 25546572, after the build the video shows.
  • Shadow Shockwave, the shockwave from Shadow Quake, hits harder now. Game build 25546572 (0.107.7779) raised its damage value in the game files from 0.35 to 0.96.

Not shown in the video

The video does not show these, so this guide leaves them out.

  • The main and extra stats of nine of the twelve pieces. Only the rune, undercoat and one amulet tooltips are opened.
  • The sets of the charm, the second amulet and both bracers.
  • Where exactly the Goblin Friend pieces drop. The video only says the Goblin King drops them.
