This page sums up This Early Build Is Ridiculously Strong in Dimraeth - Build Guide by Larry Puss. Each line links to the moment in the video it comes from.

What the video covers

  • The build is Night's Whisper. You vanish with Vanishing Strike, walk behind the target and cast it again for a big backstab that also applies Bleeding. 0:47
  • The creator says the build works from about level 10 to 13. The character shown is level 13 with 28 skill points spent. 0:29
  • Stealth hides you but does not make you immune. An attack that started before you vanished, or one already hitting the ground you stand on, still lands. 2:43
  • Move while hidden, then press Vanishing Strike again to strike. Don't open with a normal attack. The build relies on the recast. 3:02
  • The tree goes right for thrust damage, then down the Vanishing Strike branch, and only later to Shadow Convergence. The creator leaves Convergence for later because it costs more points and has a 30 second cooldown. 4:03
  • Tendon Slice is there for its Bleeding. It gives a second quick way to stack Bleeding before you burst a boss with Shadow Convergence. 7:47
  • For gear, the creator mixes Moonthorn for damage with Momentum for speed after a dash. Gorehorn is their pick for pure damage. 8:29

Gear

The stat values follow the game's forge rule for each piece's stars and forge level. The planner uses the same rule.

  • Rune · Moonthorn · Uncommon · 1 star · +8 (forge level 9) 8:32
    Main stat: 8.9 Thrust Damage
Extra stats: 5.9 Thrust Piercing, 9 Stamina Regen, 12.7% Bleeding Damage, 6 Fire Resistance
  • Under-coat · Momentum · Rare · 1 star · +5 (forge level 6) 8:56
    Main stat: 7.8 Armor
Extra stats: 9 Stamina, 9 Stamina Regen, 6.4 Decay Resistance, 3% Guard Efficiency
  • Belt · Moonthorn · Uncommon · 1 star · No upgrade (forge level 1) 9:26
    Main stat: 8 HP
    Extra stats: 6 Thrust Armor
  • Ring 1 · Momentum · Uncommon · 1 star · No upgrade (forge level 1) 9:32
    Main stat: 3 Attack Speed
    Extra stats: 5% Attack Damage
  • Ring 2 · Momentum · Common · 2 stars · No upgrade (forge level 1) 9:32
    Main stat: 4 Attack Speed

Rotation

  1. Vanishing Strike Cast it to vanish and leave a clone. Walk around the enemy while hidden. 2:26
  2. Vanishing Strike Cast it again from behind. With Rending Vanish, that hit applies 5 Bleeding instead of 2. 3:11
  3. Tendon Slice Tendon Slice adds 5 more Bleeding. The stacks show as a red drop above the enemy. 7:58
  4. Shadow Convergence On a boss, stack Bleeding first, then cast it. The tooltip gives 4% bonus damage per Bleeding stack, up to 10. 6:37

Notes from the video

  • Every attribute point goes into Agility. At level 13 the trainer shows Agility 30, 24 physical power, 12 magic power, 1.28 attack speed and 150 stamina. 7:12
  • The creator says the Elf Shadow passive gives 2.5 Stamina per point of Agility. The game files say the same. 2:08
  • The screen shows 28 points spent and 1 unspent at level 13. Level 13 gives 24 points, so we count the other 5 as boss bonus points. The video does not say this; the planner link uses level 13 with 5 bonus points. 4:10
  • At the three-way choice the creator takes Ambush Volley, so clones throw a Shadow Dagger. The other two options are Flickering Vanish, a teleport behind the target, and Vanishing Roll, an extra dash. Taking one locks the other two. 4:57
  • Crimson Reaper adds 12% damage against Bleeding enemies and raises your maximum Bleeding by 2, as in the game files. The creator says a backstab then puts about 7 Bleeding on a target. 6:11
  • Tendon Slice needs 8 Agility and 6 Energy, per its tooltip. The spellbook Spellbook Tendon Slice is marked on the map, and Rahaner in Earlwood Village crafts it once you bring the materials. 8:15
  • The codex lists the same drop sources as our data: Gorehorn drops from the Wildwood Wolf, Momentum from the Dryad Rootweaver, and Moonthorn from the Goblin Flaskrat and Goblin Ripper. 9:58
  • Moonthorn gives 8% thrust damage and 4% movement speed at 2 pieces. At 4 pieces it adds 5% attack speed and Quickleaf, 12% thrust damage for 4 seconds after a dash. Gorehorn's 5-piece bonus Bloodfrenzy makes Bleeding enemies take 12% more physical damage from you. 8:44
  • Heavy Strike and Backstep Strike stay on the bar but see little use. The creator uses Backstep Strike to reposition. 10:22
  • Six of the 12 gear slots are filled at level 13: the rune, undercoat, belt, charm and both rings. The set rows read Moonthorn 2 of 4 (rune and belt) and Momentum 4 of 3 (undercoat, charm and both rings), so the Momentum 3-piece bonus is on and the Moonthorn 4-piece bonus is not. 8:56
  • Read off the tooltips, the worn pieces are an Uncommon 1-star Moonthorn rune at +8 (Thrust Damage 8.9), a Rare 1-star Momentum undercoat at +5 (Armor 7.8), an Uncommon Moonthorn belt (HP 8, Thrust Armor 6), an Uncommon Momentum ring (Attack Speed 3, Attack Damage 5%) and a Common 2-star Momentum ring (Attack Speed 4). The game counts a +N piece as forge level N+1, and the planner link uses that level. 9:32
  • The pet slot on the inventory screen is empty, so this build runs without a pet. 8:56
  • The spell bar holds five spells: Backstep Strike, Heavy Strike, Shadow Convergence, Tendon Slice and Vanishing Strike. 10:24
  • The corner of the screen shows version 0.107.7694, a build older than any we have on file. 8:32

Not shown in the video

The video does not show these, so this guide leaves them out.

  • The Momentum charm's tooltip. The set row shows a charm is worn, but its stats never appear.
  • Which ring is in which ring slot. Ring 1 and ring 2 here follow their places on the inventory grid.
  • The Joker persona's effect. The creator is not sure it matters.
  • The order the nodes were bought in while levelling. Only the finished tree is shown.
